CMS Announces 2010 Medicare Premiums and Deductibles
Part A Deductible: $1,100
Part B Deductible: $155
Hospital reimbursement: $275 per day (days 61-90); $550 per day (days 91-150)
Skilled Nursing Facility Co-insurance: $137.50 per day (days 21-100 each benefit period)
Part B Premium: will remain $96.40* for most benficiaries

*Part B Deductible will increase for about 1 in 4 beneficiaries who are not subject to the hold-harmless provision because they are new enrollees (3%), they additional premium due to higher income (5%), they don’t have Part B premiums withheld from social security benefit payments (19%).

  1. Open the email and locate the link to the SMS Portal—"You have a Senior Market Sales Secure Email . . ."
  2. If you are a first-time user, you will need to create an account—Simply enter your email, a password and a password reminder
  3. A notification email will be sent to you. Activate your secure account using the link contained in the email.
  4. The link will take you back to the portal site where you need to enter your email address and the password you just created. Your secure email box will open immediately.
