Insuring a Super Bowl Trip

February 3, 2013: Were Talking Super Bowl 47, baby!

Nothing gets people pumped up like the Super Bowl. This year it’s at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans which has a (Wikipedia Verified) seating capacity of 76,468.

Just out of curiosity I got online to research Super Bowl 47 tickets to see how much they were going for. The first website I came to I was staring at $2,035 each for Terrace Level Endzone/Corner and up to $6,915 each for Plaza Level 30 to 50 yard line.

Not bad for one football game!

Heck yes … take the whole family and grandma too big spender. C’mon, you know you want to. Who Me? No, I’m going to pass this year but this is a very good example of a “Pre-Paid Non-Refundable Trip Cost” that could be protected with the purchase of travel insurance.

If an unforeseen illness, injury or death of the insured or immediate family member would cause cancellation of your Super Bowl dream trip, you wouldn’t be out the cost of those tickets!

So consider travel insurance anytime you have a pre-paid trip cost mixed with an uncertain future. And remember our Policy Picker makes it easy for you to quote, compare, buy and save on travel insurance packages offered by the leading travel insurance companies.
