Breaking News: MA Carrier Reimbursement Increased by 1.38%
CMS has announced a 1.38% increase in MA reimbursement rates in 2011—an improvement from the substantial cut that was announced a year ago.
The 1.38% is a preliminary estimate. Final rates will be announced in 45 days. According to one analyst, regardless of what the final rate is, it will not be enough to match the underlying cost trend, which typically rises by 3-5%.
